The Trip
For this lesson you will enjoy a scenic flight along the South Coast whilst on route to Sandown, the trip will take between 35 – 40 minutes.

You will enjoy a 40-minute stay at Sandown, long enough to sample the airport café and soak up the aviation atmosphere.

You will then return back to Shoreham, again taking between 35 – 40 minutes.

The Lesson
Before the flight your instructor will show you around the aircraft and explain all the instruments to you.

You will then be shown the basic aircraft handling controls these being: Elevator & Rudder & Ailerons.

You will then be shown how to taxi the aircraft and given the opportunity to taxi to the runway holding point.

When all departure checks are completed you will line the aircraft up on the runway and with the assistance of your instructor carry out your first take-off.

Once at a safe height your instructor will demonstrate the aircraft controls and then allow you to fly the aircraft to Sandown, don’t worry he’ll do the navigating!

Upon arrival at Sandown your instructor will land the aircraft, this is only so we can re-use it for the return journey!

Once refreshed we will return to Shoreham allowing you to exercise your newly found piloting skills.
